Praxair’s subsidiary in Mexico is now outfitting its fleet with Vigia.
Praxair Mexico begun operations in 1968 with the construction of its first gas separation plant in Monterrey. Today, the firm operates six plants that produce and distribute various industrial gases.
|Among Praxair’s strategies is the reduction in tire costs for the fleet of 600 trucks and trailers. To that end the firm has already installed Vigia in more than 60% of its units and anticipates to have all units with the Vigia system by year’s end.|
Further to reducing tire costs, Praxair Mexico expects to improve gas consumption, near eliminate tire blowouts, reduce tire-related maintenance costs, increase safety and reduce its ecological footprint through less tire waste.
Praxair Inc., a Fortune 250 company, is the largest industrial gases company in North and South America and one of the largest worldwide. The company produces, sells and distributes atmospheric, process and specialty gases and high-performance surface coatings.
